laura wayne: Laura is an experienced and enthusiastic Art Teacher interested in interdisciplinary practice that connects curriculum content between areas of learning. She is dedicated to relevant, project based learning centered on student engagement, participation and differentiated instruction. She is committed to cooperation between school and larger global educational communities for enriched student experiences in citizenship and the expressive qualities of creative thinking. Laura is devoted to art making and professional development as an artist educator and experienced in teaching and utilizing a variety of artistic media while incorporating Common Core Standards connected to specific discipline standards and STEAM. She is able and ready to facilitate multiple learning styles in modes of creative expression that build higher level thinking strategies through visual, verbal, and other sensory means. Laura develops Project Base learning lessons that integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math. She uses The Project Base Learning Lesson Planning template to ensure projects are mapped to CCSS and include the integration so of Arts and 21st Century Skills
